I enjoy my creative outlet and, in fact, it has become a defining part of my existence for many years now. I cannot exactly describe the escapism that occurs when I create my work, but it is intense, inspiring, and addictive.

When I began painting, the vehicle I painted from was solely from emotion and I still remain completely true to that. I prefer to work with more raw tools when painting with acrylic, for example, a spatula on canvas or wood.
I also have been experimenting with cement, as my works have been dramatically evolving ; however, the cement still compliments my organic style and grounded technique.

My natural progression from hairstyling to art and the country of Spain have given me a unique background to draw inspiration from.

As you will see from my work, I am immensely driven to paint images of bulls, bullfighting, and matadors, as the culture and history of Spain have always been obsessions of mine

This obsession was rooted from my mother's choice of my name, Myguel (and being asked if I was Spanish from very young), and the fact I was born under the sign of Taurus.

I generally choose colours that have a Spanish influence and earthy tones, but I certainly never limit myself and am incessantly exploring different colour palates.
